Joe: I'm sorry father but the military needs me.
Father: i forbid you from going out to sea on that iron wreck of a ship.
joe: I dont care what you say!
Awkward silence
joe: I'm grown up now father and i can make my own decisions.
father: It's dangerous. Thousands of men die each battle. I just can't imagine you gone.
Joe: i will be fine and i will come home.
Father: what about your sister? what am i going to tell her when your gone. she's to young to know about war.
Joe: this conversation is over. i am going to fight for what i believe in. just keep telling sally that i will be back soon. she'll forget after a couple of days.
Father: be safe(father then leaves the room)
